How The Recording Process Works

Getting Started:

Call or email to discuss projects. Each client's timetable, the type of audio file(s) required, the length of the script, and other details are important in determining the scope of a project. Quotes are free.

Turnaround:

Once a script has been approved the voice over is often recorded the same day or completed within 24 hours. Long or extensive scripts require additional time. Clients are always updated on the progress of a recording project and given an estimated completion time.

Script:

A must-have. Quite often it's a good way to estimate the cost of voice over services. The script also provides an opportunity to clarify pronunciation. Once the script is written and the final version approved, then it's time to step into the studio to begin recording.

Recording:

Using state-of-the-art digital equipment, the script is recorded and fully edited. Clean, clear voice recordings and a studio conveniently equipped with ISDN.

For Lengthy Scripts:

At a client's request or if the script is extensive, it may work best to record a small portion of the script (3 to 4 sentences) as a demo. This sample is sent as an mp3 file for client review to insure the delivery and read style are on track. Adjustments in vocal style and pacing are easy to make at this juncture, saving time on the project.

Retrieving the Finished Voice Recording:

The finished voice over is converted to the required audio file format and is typically delivered by email or FTP download link.

Payment:

Recording and script writing services require payment at the time the services are rendered. Should any recording errors be discovered after receipt of the final audio file(s), they will be corrected immediately at no charge. Changes to the script or a request for a different vocal style would be an additional charge. All major credit cards and PayPal are accepted. Inquiries are welcome regarding contracts or agreements for long-term, regular updating, or continuing voice services.
